I'll never part with my 18 -- I use it constantly.
It does suffer from slightly "loose" focusing, however, and can be hard to
focus at distances beyond six feet (2m) (though even at f/3.5, who would
know the difference at this FL?). Mine focuses beyond infinity ...
But I'd shoot maybe half my in-close work with it.
Just wish it was f/2.
When I was a young pup in photojournalism school (40 years ago) and there
wasn't a 21mm lens faster than f/4.5 or f/5.6, we all said Nirvana would be
a 21~200 f/2 zoom the size of, say, an 85mm f/2. Almost there ...
