While looking for info on the possibility to use the 180/2.8 with the
2x-A teleconverter, I inadvertently found this piece of advice by
Michael Covington:
I have even found lenses that become *sharper* when you add a 1A or 1B filter, because they have chromatic aberration in the deep violet and the filter eliminates the short-wavelength rays that are not focused correctly. I'm talking about good lenses, such as the Olympus Zuiko 180/2.8, not cheapies. http://groups.google.fr/groups?q=180+zuiko+filter+covington&hl=fr&lr=&ie=UTF-8&selm=81gplt tp9.atl.mindspring.net&rnum=1 Never tried this. What do you think?
