Eyecup 1 is round and deep. Obstructs back opening, but sits into your eye
socket and works well. Takes dioptre correction lenses in the 1 series
(standard round and easily available off brand)
Eyecup 2 is square and flat, and is more a padded surround for the eyepiece
than an eyecup. Better for spectacle wearers. Takes dioptre correction lenses
in the 2 series (square and non - standard).
BTW, the eyecup for P*nt*x MZ is virtually identical to the Oly 2, and fits
near - perfectly on an OM eyepiece. I paid nearly nothing for one for my beater
setup.
