When that switch isn't working, meter relight (with the shutter release
button) will not work, besides spot, highlight, shadow.
The switch inside the body, that is moved by the plastic button is normally
"closed" when button is at rest.  When a lens is mounted, button is pressed,
switch inside "opens".  So, pressing button extra hard or fiddling with it,
pushes the inner contact further away and makes it less likely to close when
a lens is taken off.
