Cheers,

Thank you. Believe or not I got a rash of s**t today from someone the
C*n*n D-SLR site. By way of some background, someone posted asking
whether they should buy a Sigma 50-500 or wait and save up for a
C*n*n 100-400L. One of the respondents said to be sure to get a good
tripod or monopod, you willl need one for shooting with long glass. I
popped in and said, "It depends, some folks can shoot effectively
with long glass handheld", or some such similar statement, and posted
by way of example, the Troy Bayliss photo I posted a link for here
some days ago. Another respondent jumped all over my case saying I
was advocating bad techniques, not to say things like that to
someone, don't go around saying you don't need a tripod or monopod
for shooting with long glass, blah, blah, blah. I replied that I
wasn't advocating NOT using a monopod or tripod, just that you didn't
necessarily need them, but he would hear none of it. I wanted to sic
Mike Veglia on him with those awesome photos he took handheld with
the Zuiko 350mm/2.8 beast. Ah merde...C'est la vie....
