Back in the '70s, I know that I used to be able to make B&W slides from
normal negative film. I still have some of them somewhere. I wish I could
remember how I did it. Does anybody out there know a technique for this?

Hello John,
You used Pan-X developed as a positive. Kodak sold the chemistry as a
boxed kit. Results were slides with a super long curve with great richness.
I used the technique a great deal and the slides are still fine, 37 years
later.
