about how Leic* won't admit it, but their SLR models aren't nearly as nice
as their rangefinders. It was like a sales presentation for the Holy
Rangefinder. The shutter was really quiet, but my shutters aren't exactly
loud. That's always been a draw of the Oly system for me, actually. They
were always so much quieter and more compact than most other SLRs.
I never own a OM-1, but I don't think it's much quieter than my OM-4 and
OM-4T? To me, they sound really loud :-)
SO, I know there are some of you out there who own both, are their optics
really nicer than Zuiko optics? I've always been really impressed with
Zuiko primes.

Where was the list I put on a month ago... Here it is:

As much as I love the Zuikos, I bet the Leica will win on the following
situations:
- Low shutter speeds (1/30 or slower). This would show up even on 4x6
prints, I bet
- Low light wide open shots. The Leicas are optimized for the wide apertures
- quiet shutter. Apparently, Tiger Woods' caddies just chuck an amateur
photog's gear down to a lake for making that clicking sound at the wrong
moment. A leica or any RF really, would be a big plus here.
- that "decisive" moment thing. With not much experience w/ using a RF, I
don't really know how that works. Certainly, I don't see much evidence of
this style of photography from the *amateurs* pics on the webs.

Couple more:
- Enlargement "beyond" the normal limit of the 35mm, e.g. 16x20 and beyond etc.
- AFAIK, the Zuiko 50/2 and the 90/2 can give the respective Leica runs for
the money stopped down, but I don't think we have a good 35/2 solution :-(
And of course, finally the famous Leica Glow:
- it can easily burn many holes in your pocket
