It depends on everyone's need and what is large image. I was very happy with
my 500MHz PC for editing 2700dpi file, but since I got a 4000dpi scanner, I
feel it was a bit slow and switched to 2.4GHz P4, it is much better now. But
it is still very slow for MPEG video encoding.
