Yes, the image will be significanty brighter with a Beattie screen.
However, there isn't much difference between an Olympus series 2 screen and
the Beattie's. And the OM screen is usually available for ~$40, whereas
the Beattie is typically more expensive. I've used both.

Subject: [OM] Experience with Beattie Intescreens
Hi,
can anybody, especially somebody in germany, tell about his experience with
Beattie Intescreens in an OM 3/4 (Ti) ?
I am a lifelong eyeglass wearer and need the viewfinder more bright.
So what i want to know is, will i better look through the viewfinder, when
i take an Beattie Intescreen
82404: Plain matte, w/ diagonal split image NO grid lines.
in an OM 3.
Excuse my technical english, my college time is more than twenty years away.
Peter
