Rich,
Hi Albert - I primarily use it with a mini Manfrotto ballhead, on a
Monopod. Sometimes I use it on the Cullman MagicII tripod.
What other QR's have you used and can you give me a little quickie
comparison? I would love to have one if I can find one here in Taiwan..
The only other QR I use a lot is the one that comes with the Cullman
MagicII. It is square shape so if you have it fit the camera plate in one
of the 4 places. With the QTop, there are many more possible placement. The
circular camera plate is very small and does not get in the way of any lens
I have, including the 90mm and the 180mm. Highly recommended. Pricey at
around $110 by works well and looks good too...
My friend's Bogen has the hex one; and it gets in the way of my 90mm
lens.. So I don't like it... My dad's video tripod has the crappy QR's
that feel so loose that I'm afraid to use it, as there's about a 2mm slop
to it..
