I have had this scanner for a couple of years, and while it is certainly
adequate for my needs, I wouldn't describe it as cutting edge by any measure.
However, I
have found it entirely adequate for scanning negs to be printed on newsprint
and websites. I've done a few glossy 4 color print jobs that used shots I
scanned
on the Microtek, but I prefer to get things scanned on a better scanner when
they're spending that much to print them.
