Hi Folks,
This hard to find lens has made its way to Panorama Road.
Christmas has just come early this year.
It's the spitting image (length exactly the same, proportions nearly exactly
the same) of the Samyang 18-28, but 70gm/3oz. heavier, about the same
size and weight as a Zuiko 100/2.
As I felt the weight I remembered Mike's very recent words about how few
lenses he now takes on long hikes in the hills.
So I hope to get some passable 8 x 12s from it <g>
KEH bargain grade!! It's not easy to find fault with it. Just some internal
dust
in peripheral places in front of baffles where it will have NO effect on the
images. Glass is perfect.
In the same mail (but 5,000 miles further distant) came the USD 3.50 Tokina
RMC 80-200 with an internal rattle. From the outside I can see a loose lever
AND a loose screw (all at the rear end away from the glass) !! That's a
hopeful sign that maybe all the bits are still inside. The glass looks good.
