<< MIke Veglia,
This shot is for you, buddy! It's a 1985 Lancia LC2 Group C car that
I took at the FIA 6 hr at Brands Hatch in October 1985. The drivers
were Bruno Giacomelli and Andrea DeCesaris. Shot with my OM-1 and the
venerable 75-150mm zoom (is Damon still here? He always liked that
lens, too) with Kodachrome 64:

Beautiful!!!!!
Nice to see you back Stephen! Now I'll go back to quietly catching up on
email and later tonight I am faced with an even larger mountain of slides
and digital files from the E-10.
Sorry to hear about your C4040 being stolen--that sucks. I am now really
afraid when traveling with all my gear as well...time for some insurance
beyond homeowners I think.
Mike, thanks for the nice words. I've got some more, I'll sort
through and them, scan them and post a couple.
I'll bet you have a lot of stuff to sort through from the last weekend.
As for the C4040, I don't think I will get another. I think I'll get
the new C-50 to serve as a digital P&S. The C4040Z was an excellent
camera that delivered beautiful images, but was too bulky for my
needs a lot of the time, and as a result, I didn't take it with me as
much as I had thought I would...I'd take the C*nt*x instead.
The new C-50 is very compact, and will fit in the tank bag of the
motorcycle and on my Camelbak much better.
Given how the price of the E20 is coming down at a not inconsiderable
rate, I think I will utimately get an E20 to serve as my
full-featured digital.
Please post a note when you get your latest CART photos up.
Cheers,
Stephen.
