I asked a little while back the "ultimate travel lens" if it was a prime
lens, not a zoom; and I thought an Om1n + 50mm/1.8 was near perfect..
But I had a dream (you know your wallet is screwed when you start
dreaming camera equipment) and I have to say, the 50mm/f2 is a better
choice. F1.8 vs F2 is not a big deal, and the size is still relatively
small, but it opens up a WHOLE new world of macro for you, and I'm sure
the regular shots are great as well.
Wayne, your setup is almost exactly like mine. I have an Om1n, 28mm,
50mm, and 90mm, in a small bag. Looking to add maybe a CF tripod to the
mix, and a light head.
I am now saving for an Om4Ti and a 50mm/f2..
