Sorry for the OT, but i have some PC stuff after an upgrade. so it's free for
the taking--however, i do ask that you send me couple dollars or so (bills
wrapped in paper will do fine) to cover postage.
so here's what's for grab:
STB TV/FM tuner card, PCI slot. STB has been bought out by someone else, but
drivers etc are still available from the likes of Dell, Gateway, etc (dig thru
support sections). In addition to being able to
watch TV or listen to FM radio, it also functions as a capture card. Inputs
include Co-ax antenna/cable for FM/TV (seperate), mini-phono audio-in,
RCA/S-Video in. uses Philips analog tuner. those tiny
cables that connect components inside the PC (say from tuner card to soundcard
etc) are included. reason i dont use it: ATI AIW8500DV
STB graphics card. Uses NVIDIA RIVA TNT chipset, 16Mb onboard RAM, AGP port (it
ran 1024*768*32 @ 85Mhz under XP). 15pin VGA output. reason i dont use it: ATI
AIW8500DV
Raviscent Cinemaster hardware DVD decoder card, PCI slot. seperate DVD decoder
to allow smoother playback on machines with less processing power. RCA/Svideo
outputs and SPDIF digital output. reason i
dont use it: ATI AIW8500DV
all original equipment on a Dell, W98SE. Cinemaster/TV tuner software/drivers
will NOT work for XP. All software/drivers available on support.dell.com.
Also available are two Intel Anypoint wireless adapters for home wireless
network, USB port, 1.6Mpbs, HomeRF (won't work with WiFi). Current
software/drivers version is 2.3, availble from Intel, all
Windows OSes OK, included XP. upgraded to Orinoco WaveLAN.
everything was fully functional at the time i removed them, and is hardware
only; i suppose if you're not comfortable digging up the software/drivers, i
can burn u a CD if you ask nicely :) so if you
want 'em, write me OFFLIST mailto:iddibhai@xxxxxxx?subject=PC
