Hi Peter,
I really want to see your 35/2 picture that you consider has
vignetting (even at F5.6?). I have made a lots of shot with the 35/2
and didn't found this problem. Check Gary's lens test report, it is B+
or A at F5.6 looks not that bad. Of course you can't expect it is as
good as a mid-tele. I don't know if it was related to individual
samples, but most likely not.
