Well, it is slight but the dimensions play out like this:
50/1.2
W: 285g
L: 43mm
D: 65mm
50/2
W: 320g
L: 55mm
D: 69mm
Raw data aside, there is something in the use that is more noticeable to
me. The 50/2 is indeed a strong performer, and I will be posting some
shots next week, but my only comment is that it was not in the same
design spirit as the 85/2 or 28/2. the same could be said for the 100/2
- also a fine performer, and well suited to the -4 and -3 series bodies.
The body dimensions of the -1 and -2 bodies are nearly the same size as
the -3 and -4, but they feel very different.
Hey, I never met a Zuiko I didn't like (well, except maybe the 90/2 for
ergonomics) and all have their uses. This is personal experience, and
subjective to say the least.
Take care!
Bob
