That is the PSP change the gamma, check file-preferences-monitor gamma
and change it to match your Window system setting (usually 1.0) to
prevent this happen. To me, I prefer same display character between
all programs. If you want to change the Window-monitor setting got to
control panel to change it, almost all display adapters today has
quite good user adjustable gamma and contrast control.
