The EOS 50(E)/Elan II(E) has mirror prefire. I use it a bit,
whereas I use the self-timer less, so inevitably, because
of the way to camera functions, I have several self-portraits
of my back running to get in the scene as the 2 second mirror
pre-fire goes off instead of the 10 second self-timer.
Shut up! It's a good camera I tells ya! <g>
I prefer the MLU on the OM1, but if I didn't chew my finger
nails, and had fingers that weren't so short and pudgy, it'd
be a damn site easier to turn that blasted little knob! :-)
Cheers
