I use a 72mm polarizer on my 21/3.5 with a 49->72mm adapter. I keep a 72mm
lens cap on it all the time.
I've used this tactic for years to carry only one polarizer with me (a B+W
MRC). I have step up rings 49->72, 55->72, and 62->72 (for the 35-80) in
my bag too.
The only problem comes in when a WA lens needs a hood. Of course, the
21/2.5 hood doesn't fit on a 72mm thread.

to be linear. I contacted the seller, and he will refund everything, even
total postage, and I can keep the item. Anybody interested? I have two of
them now, in real nice condition, complete with the Oly carrying cases. I
would swap the two of them for a circular polarizer, OM brand, or another
which will not vignette on a 21mmf3.5?
