I worked with a guy who had been stationed at the AFB in Thule. He said
there were 4 levels of extreme weather/cold alert. Punishments were
established for violation of rules for the first 3. No one had ever
returned alive from going out in the fourth level.
Probably military legend, but sounded cool (heh, heh) at the time.
