Well, the only thing I can think is that the black one was described with
some minor scratches and looked a bit more used. Quite a price difference,
though...

I seriously considered it. But I have too much stuff already (don't
ask), and I'd just bought a Leica lens the month before, and we needed
a new dishwasher....etc, etc. While I considered, someone else bought it.
