Without having both in my hands, I'll try to remember the difference. Matt's
meter, I think, still takes silver cells. (That's a big problem with mine,
if I don't take out the battery when in a case, it is on continually, and
eats batteries. Otherwise, they last like an OM2) The newest one takes a
single AA cell.
There may be some differences in falsh operation (does the V accept a radio
remote?), but all in all, the substantial difference is in the averaging and
ratio reading functions. I'm not real up on this, as I think operating these
systems is more difficult than just taking readings and doing a rough
average in your head.
All in all, I don't think there is any difference in the actual reading of
light, flash or ambient.
