I'm getting confused with this so I let images speak:

This (see link above) is the lens I'm talking about and it has no bayonet
hood mount thingies. Just a simple groove (above the flatter red groove)
that's about one mm across and 1 or 2 mm deep. I would call that groove a
'clip' mount rather than a bayonet mount. But that's just my thought and
maybe I'm wrong since I don't have the actual hood.
