Depending on your patience level, you should be able to find on in the in
$50 range. It would be a nice choice for your daughter. I started both my
girls out with an OM-G (OM-20) with just a 50/1.8 and it has worked out
quite well.
One suggestion. We take what we call 'camera safaris'. We pick a theme and
go somewhere interesting for a few hours. The zoo, the arboretum, the park,
the beach -- anything that has a theme behind it. The arboretum was great
fun as it was the first time I let them use a macro lens. Their eye for
photography amazes me.
Most importantly -- Have fun!
