There's one possible gotcha with circular polarizers. I bought
a B+W slim circular polarizer and wanted to use the 21/3.5 lens
hood with it. Nope! The B+W construction is a little wider than
you'd expect, and the 21/3.5 lens hood will NOT slip-on over it.
I then did the proper research and found that Heliopan slim
circular polarizers are just fine. Both Heliopan and B+W filters
use German glass and brass mounts, and many people believe that
they are the best filters.
