Besides the funky highlight, in picture 2, he mentions that the DOF is
greater. I wasn't aware of that. I was just assuming that the greater DOF
on the OlyC-3000 was due to the use of fill-in flash so the lens closes down.
Do people generally prefer greater DOF? I have taken some pictures with the
OM-4, where my wife took some pics with the C-3000. At first glances, her
pictures would often look "better" because a lot of them have greater DOF.
Personally though, I like the slightly out of focus look. For example, in
the kitchen picture above, I'd have preferred the background to be less in
focus so they are not as distracting.
