Share my joy as the expression goes.
Just last month a 'blemished' but new example of a current model tonearm
went for $400 (list $695). It's a Rega RB600.
Yesterday, I got a used (and slightly modified) one for $300, uncontested.
No one else bid. I can't wait to test it out.
[I almost wrote "I can't wait to mount it and try it out" but I know you
guys *TOO* well. :) ]

As an aside - I have had several experiences on eBay when I have passed up
an item (not necessarily camera gear) completely, seen it end with not a
single bid. Then, when re-listed and I have decided "I should have (and am
now going to..) grabbed it" - someone (or seemingly EVERYONE) is bidding
like crazy, the price goes well above what I could have grabbed it for first
time around unchallenged. Amazing.

Lots of interesting Oly stuff has a first bid from Bill that stays there all
alone for days before things heat up near the end. You ever catch a fang
that way, Bill?
