I have recently discovered the amazing 65-116 Auto tube. Its handling
is pleasantly surprising, and very intuitive. With the 135/4.5 it has
an incredible range of view.
It got me thinking about the concept for the "OM-X" that was mentioned
in one of the recent interviews w/ Maitani. This seems to me to be part
of the "system with no body" as it can accept many lenses, and could be
adapted to different types of viewing and/or film transport.
Has this method of rapid extension been used on any other lenses or
equipment? Does anyone know anything else about the "OM-X" concept?
