Hi Jim,
I had an interesting experience last week. I went into the local Ritz
camera store to check on the availability of a 2-4 or 2-13 screen and found
that they had piled all their OM stuff up in the corner on the floor. A
quick look showed boxes for an OM-4t, an OM-3t, and a 180mm, f2.8 among
other things. I asked the clerk what was up with all the Olympus stuff
being piled up that way and he said that they were getting ready to return
it to Olympus for credit. So, I asked how much they wanted for the OM-3t
and he checked the computer and said $1800. I told him that he should
consider giving me a deep discount, but somewhat over their costs, and make
some money on the body instead of returning it. He said that they couldn't
do that - it was against company policy. I didn't ask him if he had any
focusing screens.
Later,
Johnny
