When I was trawling through the on-line lists of second-hand Olympus
equipment held by various UK photo dealers, I came across one that had two
new OS2SP battery/MD caps for sale. By the time I 'phoned, one had been
sold, but I bought the other for 7 UK pounds (plus 50 pence P&P).
Since the OS2SP caps are the same as the OM4Ti, spares ought to be available
from Olympus UK (or their official service agents), although probably at an
extortionate price. I believe that the following are official Olympus
Service Centres:
o Colchester Camera Repair Service (01206-790009) They advertise in
"Amateur Photographer", but I have never used them.
o Luton Camera Repair Services. Their web site (www.lutoncameras.co.uk)
allows you to submit requests for info on price and availability of spare
parts. (I used them in 1993 to repair a 50mm f1.8 lens with a sticking
diaphragm; sadly, that lens has become sticky again.)
