If you make it to Athens - check out the Acropolis right at sunrise. Not to
get the shots of the sunrise over the city, which you will want anyway -
but to get those of the Greek soldiers that march up and down in a very
surreal formation - almost goose stepping the entire trip. Few people see
it as it's before the buses and tourists get there - and you might even get
an early morning visit before the crowds hit. Athens is a big crowded
people city - the opposite of your island trip. For the Islands - dawn and
dusk - the mid day light in the summer can be a killer.

Subject: [OM] Holiday advice wanted: Greece
Hi guys,
Well, the stress has been building up over here lately, so something had to
give: either me or my wallet; I decided to choose the latter...:)
So, having found a good last minute deal, this Friday (July 5th) we're off
to Greece. To be more precise, to the island Lesbos.
We'll be staying there for 3 weeks, and we'll be on a rather tight budget,
nonetheless, we will intend to make the most of the stay, and the same goes
for the photographic opportunities.
