Doesn't anybody else sense a story here? Hobbyist spends $100,000 on
telescope, dome and related equipment, becomes involved in hobby until
it occupies virtually all non-work hours and esp. huge parts of nights
and creates troublesome debts. Hobbyist doesn't notice he hasn't seen
wife for a couple of days (only a couple??) until process server tracks
him down in dome and spoils the seeing by turning on a light. Community
property state means half of everything, including astronomy gear, is
hers - and she wants cash. Hobbyist ends up with clothes on his back,
well used Subaru Outback and 8" Celestron; heads for the Southwest where
the seeing is better.

Wow! Take a look at the picture, it looks like he's got a dome for it
too...
I think anyone who buys a telescope like this is serious enough to go live
in the wilderness on top of a mountain too...
