Moose,
Yes - that was my impression from the test data provided. I am looking
forward to trying it out (... sometime ....) to see what the visible results
are. I suspect it will of course make excellent standard prints - and if
used carefully perhaps somewhere up to 8x10s. If so, I'll be pretty happy,
as this is what I had in mind for it.
Sometime - I have three new lenses to try out - so little time!
Cheers,
Lee

Gary's test of it is less than awe-inspiring. A kind of interesting test
result. Looks like a pretty decent lens at 70mm with a normal 'sweet spot'
at f8-11, but at the longer focal lengths, virtually no variance in
performance from center to edge and over all apertures. Probably not a bad
lens, just nothing to get excited about. Seldom really sharp, but never
really bad. Stopping down has little or no effect on resolution except at
the wide end, which is not such a bad characteristic in a slow lens.

While folk are in a lens critical mood ...anyone have good and or bad takes
on this Zuiko 70-210/f4.5-5.6? I picked one up recently; although haven't
shot any film through it yet, first impression is very compact - very
light. Very handy. Not much in the ways of "tests" on the web except
Gary's(? - I know I read one somewhere), and I couldn't find a single
"review" on the photo rag sites etc
