Gary's test of it is less than awe-inspiring. A kind of interesting test
result. Looks like a pretty decent lens at 70mm with a normal 'sweet
spot' at f8-11, but at the longer focal lengths, virtually no variance
in performance from center to edge and over all apertures. Probably not
a bad lens, just nothing to get excited about. Seldom really sharp, but
never really bad. Stopping down has little or no effect on resolution
except at the wide end, which is not such a bad characteristic in a slow
lens.
