Hi all,
I recently got my first OM2S from the bay. I'd never played with one
before, so when I saw one advertised as not working, and the bid at only
$36, I couldn't resist, and won the auction for $37. It looked to be in
pretty decent shape, but the best part was when I popped in a fresh set
of batteries, it appeared to work fine! In fact, I couldn't find
anything wrong with it other than when someone had put it back together
they got the spring in the ASA knob in the wrong place. I haven't
developed my test roll yet, but so far, I really like the camera. I like
the OM-4T better, but the manual/spot mode on the 2S seems very nice too.
Does anyone find program mode to be useful? I think I'm even getting
used to the sssscccchhhhlok when I press the shutter release :)
Add that to the "ugly" grade silvernose 75-150 I got from KEH for $13
(which I half expected to be either a thriving fungus community or a bag
of parts) that was in excellent condition except for some oil on the
element just in front of the aperture, and I had a pretty good week!
