Yes, C.H. I believe is correct (again! <g>). It is electronic, and the 
shutter release button does activate the meter first, before the actual 
release. Also has a longer "stroke" to the shutter button (longer than 
previous "M" cameras) to incorporate this meter. That may also have something 
to do with it.
