I was shooting a chipmunk on the ground that was eating seeds below my bird
feeder a couple days ago. I was using a Kiron 80-200/4.5 with macro. Usually
I can't get closer than about 15 feet before they run. As I kept crawling
closer, snapping away, it froze in fear I guess. I couldn't believe how
close it was letting me get, just to about filling the frame. Then,
arrrrrggh, the lens wouldn't focus that close!! So I missed what would have
been the best one.
Bill has been recommending the tamron, and it seems he has several satisfied
converts.
