Mike,
really great shots! The bee-shot has something VERY intriguing about it
especially because the bee and the background is not sharp.
The other shot is great, too and reminds me of this one:

Not quite overwhelming in sepia but funny enough it was taken a few meters
from the bridge-shot in Porto, Portugal.

So I gave it a quick try. I think the hard part is going to be to know when
to use this technique and to know when using it will be overdoing it.
