I store most of my gear in this:
http://www.flightcases.dk/watercases.htm
With a silica gel or two in each suitcase, and padding/dividers, this
seems perfect both as long-term storage and as transport (e.g. my MF gear
lives in one like that at all times)
They are a bit pricy, but they are water resistant. And are said to
sustain the impact from being thrown out an aircraft...I tested the water
resistance, but I have yet to find a boing where the captain would let me
open the window....
Ohh...yes, I sort of know the guys behind flightcases.dk, no I do not get
special discount prices, no I do not get any commision from sales
either....
