At 16:43 6/3/02, Curt wondered:
How can I tell if the charging circuitry internal to the BG2 is working? I
don't hear a whine, and recycle time doesn't seem appreciably shorter than
the T32 by itself.... I thought I'd just check the voltage across the
connector that plugs into the T32, but then recalled that the grip
converter is turned on by the switch on the T32 (neat trick - I need to
puzzle through the schematics, I guess). Any thoughts or suggestions will
be greatly appreciated!
Curt
Take the batteries out of the T-32, put it on the BG-2 (with known good "C"
cells in it) and turn the T-32 on. If the T-32 powers up and charges, the
BG-2 is working. The BG-2 doesn't "whine" like many T-32's do, but it will
very softly chirp when the T-32 ready light is fully illuminated.
The T-20 and T-32 do not need batteries in them when mounted to a BG-2.
