Thanks for your reply.....it has given me food for thought. I tend to
use mostly B+W and 125 or 400asa film and find I don't usually use lenses
"wide open. Regarding zoom range this is exactly why I would NEVER be
without my Olympus 28-48mm zoom, I find the wide end very useful. For
critical use I still use a 24 or 28mm prime but for convenience the zoom
wins hands down! Hence my reasoning that the Tamron keeps the wide setting
but also goes10mm on the tele range as well as having "macro" facilities.
I might se if I can shoot a roll of film through this
lens to test it myself.
