First, thanx much to the list members who responded to my first set of
questions on my new BG2... so far the most interesting suggestion was
adding a second ttl flash in the hot shoe of my 2S to give really extensive
lighting options!
Now for my new question: how much play should there be between the base
plate and the vertical grip of the BG2? Mine seems to wobble fore and aft,
even though the locking screw seems tight. Its almost as though there is
some compliance in the metal track that runs up the side of the grip... it
this normal? Is there something that needs adjusting? the play seems to
exist wherever I clamp the base to the grip, from top to bottom of the
adjusting slot. I thought maybe there was supposed to be some sort of
rubber cushion or gasket between the base and the grip, but there is no
evidence of same that I can see....
I've got to admit the total package makes quite a handful... OM-2S, Winder
2, BG2, T32, Sunpak 433D, and a Zuiko 65~200 f/4 zoom! Not quite up to the
load my Pentax 6x7, Honeywell Strobonar 682S, bounce/tilt grip, and Pentax
150mm f/2.8 puts on my hands and arms, but close!
