I recently got a BG-2 and have discovered that is in intended for use only
with a winder or motor. I hate to use a winder when not needed and the BG-2
is heavy enough as it is.
For years I have had an el cheapo flash bracket that holds my T-32 and I
slip a cable release into the hole in the handle and use it as a trigger and
it works fine. Or I can reach the OM's shutter release button with my finger
while holding the grip, which the BG does not allow (too far away).
Does anyone know of a way to either attach a cable release to the BG-3 or
even better to rig a electromechanical shutter plunger to it so that the
button on the BG-2 can fire it (and possibly even draw its power from the
BG-2's batteries)??
If I cannot find a way to easily fire the non-motorized OM-4 while using the
BG-2 then I will have to get rid of the grip.
