Here are a few photos from the Memphis in May International Barbeque
Cooking contest. I was hired by The National Barbeque News to cover the
event for them. Over 260 cooking teams from all over the world were entered
this year. Three days of food and fun on the bank of the Mississippi River.
The featured country this year was Argentina. These are a few of the shots
that I culled out of nearly 1000 I took in three days. The E-20 is perfect
for this kind of work. No film or developing costs and every day I took the
editor another CD with the previous day's work on it. We would sit down and
pop it in his laptop and go over the shots. This helped me get a feel for
what he was looking for. All the original files are 3 to 4 Meg in size and
the quality of the images has suffered considerably in reducing them down
to 60K or so.
I retained the rights to the images of the winning teams and have included
one of them in this group. Just in the last week I've taken over 60 reprint
orders. I'm printing 8x10 on a Fuji Pictrography 3500 Printer and the
results are amazing.
Anyway, here are a dozen or so images if you care to look, nothing
spectacular, just some of the stuff I didn't sell.

mike m.
