This is not a big problem for the thinking photographer. Just use -1 to
-1.5 exposure compensation with dark/far backgrounds and +0.5 with light
backgrounds. For cameras without direct exposure compensation dials like
the OM-1 and the XA, change the film speed. One does have to remember to
change it back!
