Re: 35-70 f/3.6
Hi Clinton;
Thanks for the advice and the offer. Some of that sounds like what I could
manage. I got my print film back with a variety of test shots, ( a lot of
different stuff) and I'm not happy with any of them. Persnicketty so-and-so I
be.
I just fitted new hinge foam to my OM2, and loaded it up with Velvia 50 asa,
so I'll take it out with the heavy tripod and see what that tells me before I
do
anything else. Unfortunately can't use the OM4T as it has other film in as
has the OM1.
On another tack I reviewed some Kodachrome 64 shots I took with the Zuiko
100/2, with 7mm closeup tube at the back and 55mm closeup lens in front.
Dahlia flowers again (still), one flower or half of one, wall to wall. It
surprised
me; at f/22 I had enough DOF for the whole depth of the flower to be in focus -
say 1.5 - 2 inches deep (37 - 50 mm), seems sharp, and nicely contrasty.
Front of lens would have been quite close to the flower. (Maybe 8 inches -
200mm)
I also had a print made (for my mother-in-law !!) of a Kodachrome 25 slide I
took 20 years ago using the Zuiko 100-200, at 100mm & f/11; it's surprisingly
sharp.
