The Canon AE-1 was introduced in the mid '70's and was marketed to the
masses as an "automatic exposure" (thus AE) 35mm camera that anyone
could use. It was, as I recall from my days behind the counter, an
aperture priority camera. Actually, I would compare it to an OM-10 as
far as features and flexibility in manual mode. I was successful in
steering newbee customers away from this camera and towards am OM-2(N)
most of the time. I am really reaching back here...Several years later,
Canon intrduced a "Program" version, which of course had a program mode.
I don't know much at all about it. I you would like, you can go to eBay
and look them up. There are probably hundreds for sale there, and you
can compare the pix to Spiderman's Camera.
Regards,
John

I think it was a Canon F1
It was left handed probabbly because the film was reversed when it was
printed.
