somewhere in between...more like computer/piano/weeding/mid-range
distance...Oly set the "perceived" distance at around "arms length" (quoting
Carl Shipman, pg. 66, '89 edition here..I wonder if he means my husbands long
gorilla arms or my dainty, short little limbs??) and Oly built in a "-0.5"
diopter into the viewfinder to slightly magnify it for you (this is just 1/2
diopter of magnification). So really in the past you were using -1.5
correction is you combine your old eyecup correction and the built-in. Now,
as you are aging, your lens is flattening and your myopia is lessening, so
you need less correction. it's one of the happier aspects of middle age that
myopia lessens as we age and presbyopia takes over.
