I started this thread about leaking batteries by asking two questions .. one
of which was "has anyone ever had one leak?" I was referring specifically
to the Eveready 357.
I am not sure, but I do not believe that anyone answered me as to that
specific battery. Somehow, the topic drifted off to alkalines.
As far as standard AA alkaline or similar batteries, I have had the most
problems with Energizer and very little with the other brands (other than
Kirkland - Costco).
If I plan on using them in an item that will hold them for a long period of
time, I either purchase Radio Shack brand alkaline or use Lithium. I have
never had any leakage with either. Consumer's Reports always rates Radio
Shack at the top for longevity. I am not too concerned with longevity ..
just leakage. The Shack batteries are rather expensive though.
